Our Mission

The PSIM 3-Day journey began in 2006 when Jackie Bairnerd’s mother was diagnosed with breast cancer and six months later Jackie heard a radio advertisement for Susan G. Komen 3-Day. Jackie recruited her sister and together they created Pink Soles In Motion.

PSIM started with 12 members and have been as large as 105. Our members have various different stories as to why they participate in this event. They are survivors, have had family members/friends affected by breast cancer or have lost loved ones. Either way we all have one common goal-TO END CANCER!!

The Susan G. Komen 3-Day is a 60 mile walk. We fundraise throughout the year with various different events and start training walks in May with training walks scheduled on Saturdays and Sundays. We invite everyone who is interested in this event to join our team of amazing members.

Michele’s Gift of Hope

Michele’s Gift of Hope is a program within the Pink Soles in Motion organization that provides support in response to the medical, financial, and emotional burdens that accompany a cancer diagnosis.

Members of the PSIM team are encouraged to nominate potential recipients to the Michele’s Gift of Hope committee by applying at Michele’s Gift of Hope.
